“Ken Livingstone is a qualified International Class 1 Marine Engineer, who served a marine engineering cadetship between 1973-1977, followed by many years gaining experience on Tankers (bulk, cargo and gas) and bulk cargo ships until concentrating in the Oil & Gas sector from the mid 1980s.

 

Experience in the Oil & Gas sector was gained on anchor handling, tug and supply vessels (AHTS), Dynamically Positioned (DP) saturation diving vessels, subsea construction vessels, heavy lift vessels and pipelay vessels (rigid S-Lay, J-Lay and flexible).

 

Ken served at sea until 1991, where he came ashore after serving at the rank of Chief Engineer, and took up a range of shore management positions, initially as superintendent (in charge of many vessel major repairs, project mobilisations and drydocks) and latterly as Ship Management Director for a major international offshore company, in charge of a range of vessels in the Asia-Pacific region, in charge of Technical, Operations, Crewing, QHSE and Supply Chain..

 

Ken served a period as Chairman of IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) Asia-Pacific region and was involved in a range of workshops that shaped many offshore vessel operational guidance documents still used in the industry today.

 

With significant experience in operating and repairing vessels both in the deep sea and offshore oil & gas industry, Ken is perfectly placed to provide clients with competent Marine Survey and Consultancy Services.”
